The Farm

Products from our own Farm

In addition to the Restaurant Alte Post we run a farm of 10 ha with 8 cows, one buck and 10 goats and about 5 calves. Our main stable is in Grindelwald at a location called “Oberäll” towards the alp Bussalp. With our solar collectors on the roof we produce about 20'000 kWh of renewable energy per year.

In summertime the cows are grazing on the mountain pastures of the alp Bach, where Alpine cheese is produced with their milk. In winter we feed the bull calves with the milk and by doing so we get the veal for our restaurant.
